Born in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Alan Kecevic discovered his passion for piano at an early age.
From his beginnings at the Sarajevo High School of Music to stages across the United States, he has shaped a distinctive artistic identity defined by emotion, precision, and authenticity.

Now based in Corpus Christi, Texas, Alan is completing his Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance at Texas A&M University–Corpus Christi. His work bridges cultures — combining the depth of European tradition with the creativity of modern interpretation.

Early Life and Education

Alan Kecevic is a Bosnian pianist whose musical journey reflects both technical mastery and emotional depth. Born in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina, he began studying piano at an early age and soon stood out for his expressive interpretation and disciplined approach to performance.
He graduated from the Sarajevo High School of Music, majoring in Piano Performance, where he developed a strong foundation in the European classical tradition.

In 2022, Alan moved to the United States to continue his studies at Texas A&M University–Corpus Christi, where he is currently completing a Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance. During his studies, he has been recognized with multiple scholarships, including the Rolean A. Cook Endowed Scholarship in Piano, John Chapman Endowed Scholarship in Music, and the Harmon A. and Grace W. Dobson Islander Chamber Music Scholarship.

Performances and Competitions

Alan has participated in numerous concerts, recitals, and festivals across Europe and the United States. He has been featured in events such as the Piano Celebration Week in Texas and was the winner of the President’s Concert at Texas A&M University–Corpus Christi.

His early career in Bosnia and Herzegovina included first prizes at the Federal Competition of Chamber Music in Zenica and the Slobomir International Music Competition in Bijeljina. Alan’s artistic growth has also been shaped by masterclasses with internationally acclaimed pianists such as Alessio Bax, Catalin Dima, Clayton Stephenson, Michael Stephen Brown, and Sang Woo Kang.

Repertoire and Artistic Style

As both a soloist and collaborative pianist, Alan performs a broad repertoire ranging from Baroque to Romantic and contemporary music. His interpretations include works by Bach, Beethoven, Chopin, Liszt, Rachmaninoff, and Ginastera, as well as modern Bosnian composers such as Josip Magdić, Samir Fejzić and Hajrudin Džudža.
His performances are known for their precision, sensitivity, and emotional depth, combining technical mastery with storytelling through sound.

Teaching and Community Engagement

Beyond the concert stage, Alan is passionate about music education and outreach. He works as a Supplemental Instructor Leader for Class Piano at Texas A&M University–Corpus Christi and has taught at the Musician’s Academy in Corpus Christi.
Through his outreach recitals in local schools, he aims to bring classical music closer to young audiences, guided by his belief that “music connects people beyond borders and languages.”

Current Work and Vision

Alan currently serves as the pianist for Southside Community Church in Corpus Christi, balancing his work as a performer, educator, and collaborator.
Looking ahead, he envisions a career that bridges European and American musical traditions, sharing the universal language of music with audiences around the world.
